Peter Foley

Owner and Financial Adviser

Peter is a Certified Financial Planner with more than 20 years in the financial services industry. After building experience with Zurich and ING, Peter started Thirdview Financial Planning in 2009, to serve his clients in a different and more customised way to the industry norm.

Peter’s approach is values driven, believing that our personal values drive our lifestyle desires, and financial management is most effective when aligned with those personal values to achieve outcomes. He couples this values approach with sound financial planning principles and technical knowledge, delivered with compassion and insight.

Peter’s tenacity and commitment have paid off with Thirdview featured in the BRW Fast Starters List in 2013, then receiving the FSP Adviser of the Year 2012, and recently being awarded FSP National Practice of the Year in 2016 (2 or less advisers category).

Pete is committed to health and fitness alongside his continuing professional development, and lives in Sydney with his wife and two boys.

Yi Cai

Yi is qualified with a Bachelor of Finance and a Diploma in Financial Planning. Although he only has 6 years of experience in the Financial Services Industry, he strives continuously for both personal and professional development. His experience in the industry comes from working in companies like NAB, Local Government Super and Bongiorno & Co.

As a strong believer of the good financial planners can bring to their clients, Yi’s biggest goal is to become a successful adviser in the near future where he can change lives and make a real difference. Today, the environment that we live in requires basic financial literacy which has, unfortunately, remained elusive to many. Having someone with extensive knowledge guide you through major life events and financial decisions could make a huge difference in the long term; more often than not, building life-long relationships.

Yi enjoys the great outdoors and try to go on camping trips whenever he can make time for it. He is also fascinated by scuba diving and the art of fish keeping. Currently, he lives in Sydney with his wife and husky, Bruno.
